Is my audio really private?
Recording and transcription happen on your Mac, and TNN does not upload your audio. When you choose Generate with Claude and send the prepared prompt in Claude Desktop, Anthropic processes the selected meeting text through your Claude account.
Does a bot join my meetings?
No TNN bot joins the call or appears in the participant list. TNN captures audio playing on your Mac; capture depends on audio being available to macOS.
Do I need a Claude subscription?
No account is needed for recording, transcription, dictation or your archive. To create an AI Note, you need Claude Desktop with a plan that supports the connection. You choose when to send the prepared prompt; TNN adds no AI fee.
Where do my files live?
In a folder you choose (by default ~/Documents/TNN). Meeting transcripts and notes are plain Markdown files that stay on your Mac.
What is MCP, in one sentence?
MCP lets Claude use connected apps as tools. TNN opens Claude Desktop with a prepared prompt for the selected meeting and note mode. After you send it, Claude reads the meeting through MCP and saves the result to AI Notes.
Which meeting apps does it work with?
TNN captures audio playing on your Mac, including calls in Zoom, Meet, Teams and Slack huddles, as well as phone calls on speaker and in-room conversations. Capture depends on audio being available to macOS.
Which languages are supported?
TNN detects the language automatically - even when a meeting switches mid-sentence. Built on Whisper, which handles dozens of languages; we use it daily in English and Polish.
What do I need to run it?
A Mac with Apple Silicon on macOS 13 or later. The transcription model downloads once (~600 MB) and runs on the Neural Engine - no internet needed after that.
